It will come as no surprise that solar PV has "our" vote. Not that it's on the ballot, mind you-but it's important to know where you stand, nonetheless.
Speaking of which, a couple years ago (in honor of the big election), the Solar Energy Industries Association(R) (SEIA) put together a handy little infographic that shows we are not alone...
Given the fact that solar PV installations have increased considerably in the last two years, those do not appear to be inflated numbers. For example, in the second quarter of 2014, the United States installed some 1,133 MW of solar PV. That's an increase of 21% from the second quarter of 2013. It also makes it the fourth-largest quarter in the history of the market.
